For most of my life, I was the one who had it together. The people pleaser. The overachiever. The queen of collecting gold stars. The one everyone could count on.

I checked all the boxes I thought I was supposed to check. I built the career.
Got married, started a family. I did all the "right" things.

And yet... something was missing.

I wanted more... and it felt wrong to want more. What was wrong with me? Why couldn't I just be happy with the life I had built?

The truth was, I had become exactly who I believed I was supposed to be... and I had absolutely no idea who I was.

Over the years, I had built walls around myself to keep me safe from judgement, from being misunderstood, from failing.

I had learned how to read the room. How to anticipate what everyone else needed. How to be agreeable. Helpful. Easy to love.

I convinced myself those walls were just my personality.

I'm not a social media person. I'm awkward. I don't like attention. I'm not a leader. But those weren't personality traits... They were protection.

The very things that had helped me belong were now keeping me from the impact I wanted to make, from trusting myself, and from building the life and business I knew I was capable of creating.

That is why I do the work I do today.

I had to rewrite every belief, pattern, and story I had been carrying for 39 years. I had to learn how to trust myself instead of outsourcing my truth to everyone around me. I had to become a version of myself that was unleashed and unfiltered.

I rewired my nervous system and unraveled the patterns that had been running the show for decades. The people pleaser. The perfectionist. The stories that convinced me it was safer to stay small than risk being seen.

I didn't become fearless.

I just stopped letting fear make the decisions.

And I discovered that the life I wanted wasn't on the other side of becoming someone new. It was on the other side of creating enough safety to be fully, unapologetically myself.
