Terms and Conditions of Coaching Services
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the purchase of coaching services from Caroline Brown Coaching LLC (“Coach”) by the client (“Client”). By completing your purchase at checkout, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
1. Description of Coaching
Coaching is a partnership between the Coach and Client in a thought-provoking and creative process designed to maximize personal and professional potential. Coaching may include (but is not limited to): creating or developing personal, professional, or business goals; identifying challenges; developing and carrying out strategies for achieving those goals; values clarification; brainstorming; identifying plans of action; examining modes of operation in life; and making empowering requests or suggestions for action.
Coaching is a transformative process. It is not therapy, counseling, mental health treatment, or medical advice. Coaching does not diagnose, prevent, cure, or treat any mental or physical condition. The Client understands that it is their responsibility to seek professional support if needed from a qualified provider.
2. Coach–Client Relationship
- The Coach agrees to provide transformative life and business coaching through scheduled video calls (typically via Zoom) or in-person sessions if mutually agreed.
- The Client is solely responsible for their own decisions, actions, and results. The Coach is not liable for any direct or indirect consequences of the Client’s participation in coaching.
- Coaching may touch on multiple areas of life including work, relationships, health, and finances, but decisions in those areas are exclusively the responsibility of the Client.
- Coaching requires honesty, openness, and participation. The Client agrees to communicate honestly, complete agreed practices, and show up prepared and undistracted for scheduled sessions.
3. Services & Communication
- Unless otherwise stated on the sales page, coaching is provided in six-month containers. Session frequency and number are outlined in your specific program.
- The Coach is available to the Client between sessions via Marco Polo or Telegram messaging. Messages will be responded to within 24 hours during business hours (Mon–Thurs, 9 AM–4 PM EST) and within 48–72 hours if sent Friday–Sunday. Please do not use social media messaging (Facebook/Instagram) for coaching communication.
- Tangible, creative support practices curated to your growth may be provided in addition to sessions.
4. Payment & Refunds
- All fees are due as outlined at checkout. Payment plans, if offered, must be completed in full.
- All payments are final and non-refundable. Refunds are not provided for partial participation, missed sessions, or early termination. Emergency refund requests may be considered at the sole discretion of the Coach.
- The Client understands that outcomes are not guaranteed, as results depend on the Client’s commitment and participation.
5. Scheduling & Attendance
- Sessions must be scheduled using the provided booking link. Sessions are 60 minutes unless otherwise noted.
- Please arrive on time. Late arrivals will shorten the session but will not extend beyond the scheduled time.
- If you cannot attend a session, you must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be forfeited. A session may only be rescheduled once.
- Emergencies will be considered at the discretion of the Coach.
6. Confidentiality
All information shared in coaching sessions is confidential, except in the following situations:
- The Coach is required by law, subpoena, or court order to disclose information.
- The Coach reasonably believes disclosure is necessary to prevent harm to the Client or others.
- Information is already publicly known or obtained by the Coach from another source without breach.
For group programs, the Client acknowledges that confidentiality cannot be guaranteed but is expected from all participants.
7. Termination
Either party may end the coaching relationship with written notice. The Client is responsible for all payments agreed upon at checkout. Payments already made will not be refunded.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Coach makes no guarantees or warranties about results from coaching. In no event shall the Coach be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages. The Client’s sole remedy is limited to the amount actually paid for services.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes shall be handled in the appropriate courts of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
10. Acknowledgment
By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. You understand that coaching is a transformative process, not therapy or medical treatment, and that your results are dependent on your commitment and participation.
